For Sale: GM Auto Dimming Mirror

Hey guys, just bought this used rear view mirror not realizing it doesnt have the orange passenger airbag on/off light. I actually want that light, so i ended up ordering one with it today. I know the GT guys have some bright ass orange lights on theirs so if you dont want the light, this is the perfect mirror for you. Same size as the stock one too.

I just got this one in last night and havent even installed it yet, tags are still on it. I will take pics later on tonight and can even plug it in to test/take pics if someone wants. Its in good shape.

The mirror is said to come from a CTS/STS and has:
1. Onstar
2. Compass
3. Autodim

No orange passenger airbag light and NO temp!

For those looking for an auto dimming rearview mirror for your G8, a direct replacement (compass, airbag indicator, OnStar, microphone) is out of a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, or Saab 9-7x. There are probably other models. If you keep your eye open on eBay you can find these rather easily for $30 to $60 depending on who is selling it, etc. Also, on these mirrors, the airbag indicator is MUCH dimmer than what is on the G8 at night; an added free bonus.

Of what I understand, if you get a mirror without the airbag indicator, but OnStar and compass it will plug and play no issue. Ditto if you get one without a compass and without the airbag indicator.

If you get one that has temperature too, you will likely have an extra single lead wire coming off the antenna for the temperature display.

One of the easist mods you can do, just need a 15 Torx, about five minutes to remove stock mirror and replace with auto dimming one.
