I was stubborn about the color and options (and told them I wouldn't buy a car as new with 700 or so miles already on it) so it had to be shipped to San Antonio from El Paso which is why it took so damned long.

The color is hard to get an accurate pic with the camera on my phone but you get the idea.

Thanks everyone! I really like the color, was getting tired of the black and I get more looks with it than the G8 ever got.

First mods are short-throw shifter and axle back. Either Borla ATAK or just a muffler delete :devil:
After that, probably some suspension pieces and 2010 Shelby wheels.

Not yet. But I think an auto would be a good fit. I would leave it stock with warranty. It would be replacing a DD so it has to fit the bill.

HAHA, I didn't demod mine so the newb that gets it is in for a sweet surprise!!! I first saw the color on a Shelby driving through my little podunk town that I chased down in the G8 to get
a good look at LOL. I don't need four doors anymore so this fits me perfectly!

And IMHO the basic radio in the 5.0 is on par with the G8's in case anyone cares...

I would hope you can beat it since your car weighs a good 300+(maybe 400 with driver) less and makes similar power..
I deff would be curios how a 5.0 at your level does from a roll

For real a civic. I mean come on a civic. Yes you make one crazy fast really cheap. But it's still a civic.


One guy has a gutted 93 or hatch that has k20 built in it. N/a he is hitting low 12s. He in middle of putting a turbo on it. Said he has about 12k in whole thing counting buying the car.

Thanks! Ya, I traded the G8 in. It hurt to do, but after navigating through traffic on I35 in Austin two days before Christmas in the stang, I came to realize that I made the right decision. I haven't even revved it past 5k and I'm in love with it (must... go... 450 more miles!!!). I counted four grabber blues on the road today with only one 4.6 GT. Didn't see a single other 5.0 of any color. It would be great to hang out again, when are you coming down for the next mods?
