My Jeep never spins AWD.

The wheel hop is bothering me a little when I hammer the 8 from a stop.

Is there anything we can do, cheap easy and quick to help with this?

2 things can help... Make more power so it just destroys the tires and has no hopes to get traction... or improve traction so it just hooks and goes :D

But really it looks like alot of people have had success with the Pedders upgrades and BMR upgrades as well...

Mine only hops when its wet. Unfortunately it doesn't take much wet. A pass through the water box and not spinning the water off well enough will do it.

I got the BMR trailing arms in an effort to minimize this. They'll be installed Monday so will post a review. The Pedders x-bushings may help a bit, its really hard to tell because the car will still hop badly if tires have any water on them.

Pedders diff bushings and X bushings. Make sure to clean the tires off on launches.

Turn off TC. I can't believe you're getting wheel hop on dry pavement.
I ONLY get it if it's wet out and I don't hit it hard enough.

Lol! I can give the TC fits in Tigger when I hammer it with it on. I'm well into second before it can catch up.

mine wheel hops too. On the mustang, upper & lower BMR billet control arms took car of it. I guess i'm gonna start needing to upgrade the suspension a little bit

...I wonder if we could just put some better shocks on..... ?

why would you stop there. Half of suspension cost is labor IMO, once it's apart, do as much as you can in that area to save money.

That's my 2 cents....

I like Andy's suggestion, more power!!!

I wonder how the GXP will perform regarding wheel hop. I hope it's a little better than the GT's but I'm expecting it to be.

*edit* I know the suspension is the same I'm mainly referring to the manual transmission vs the automatic.

There are 2 primary bushing sets that we have found that will make a serious difference. They are:

EP1167 Zeta Rear Differential Bush Kit $108.36
EP1169 Zeta Rear Extreme Sub-Frame Connector Kit $238.99

This should be your first step.

So I take it that the "drag pac" is what you are talking about here? Nothing else?

The bushings I recommended are the 2 most important in the back end. Since wheel hop is a function of movement and vibration, eliminating all the other soft bushings would also work well.

OEM Rear shocks offer minimal support and OEM coils are not strong enough to launch a high hp G8.

I only mentioned the 2 primary bushings because the original post appears to only want to do a minimal approach.

Maybe you could answer the question: What is in the drag pac? please, since you're saying "it works". It's probably what Mike @ Pedders is saying but I wanted to confirm this.
