Base GT's have a plastic shifter. GT's with the premium package have a leather shifter with no Pontiac logo.

I have the red and black shifter with the Holden logo that I got from a board member. It's real nice and easy to install with the instructions shown by Paul.

From pics it looks like the stock shaft is bright chrome, whereas the new shifter comes with a more metallic silver looking shaft.
You can retain your original chrome shaft and just replace the actual knob.....as per instructions above.

It's worth it the money, you would be surprised how much it improves the interior. I think it took all of 5 or 10 minutes for me to install, dead simple and nice looking.

They're actually made in Australia.
You can buy the Pontiac shifters there in USA, but if you have to pay domestic shipping and/or taxes then I might be cheaper.
