had my ecm/tcm tune done today by jeremy formato. first pull dynoed at 257.73 hp and 274.69 tourque. the only mod i had was the robo-farb cai. we were both a little surprised at only 257 hp. Jeremy suggested that he remove the screen inside the cai and the lower manifold cover to improve airflow and retain less heat. So done. After tweaking the next thtree pulls on the dyno we ended up with 309.60 hp and 323.17 torque. The fourth pull proved negligable so i believe he got the most tho motor was willing to give. I'm very happy with the new found hp and more responsive tranny. night and day!

Those really are great numbers to get just from a tune. Over 50HP!

257.73 @274.69 this has got to be one of the lowest numbers I have seen so far for a stock G8

Well whatever, the delta is what you want to see anyway, and his is similar to everyone's.

so , 309hp and 323 torque is about right with the rf cai. I'm still wondering why the first pull was so low. Jeremy said something about the fuel mixture coupled with the cai. Too rich i think.

Everyone who has posted base numbers on stock engines has been in the 292HP range, give or take, due to dyno variables, conditions, break in or whatever. I seriously doubt that these engines will produce such horsepower extremes. Even mass produced.

They cant, it wouldnt make it past the roller test at the plant.

290 -305 area is pretty much the numbers recorded on most of the boards on both Mustang and Dyno jet dyno's, Dyno jet being higher ,being an enertia dyno. I haven't seen an initial Hp number posted this low yet .

You local in Tampa or did you catch him when he was out an about? Just wondering which dyno he was using if local. The FordSpeed dyno locally seemed to be running low.
