My 08 G8 GT is now pushing 60K+ miles. Its used as a daily driver between me and my son. Is this possibly bad news for a G8....

I wouldn't think so as long as you keep on maintenance. But I only have 8097 on my 08, so what do I know?

cars do tend to last longer these days so you should be fine. Are you having problems?

Mine has 48,000 and it had 2,800 on it when I bought her in April this year.

My 2004 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab Z71 two wheel drive. It just turned 383,000 no oil useage, same tranny, rebuildt the rear end(it was just worn out at 250,000 miles), one set of plugs original a/c and runs perfect and looks like it has 20,000 miles on it.

It runs on all Amsoil products.

Seems if you drive the car and get it up to normal operating temp. The engine and transmission fights off condensation and they are made to run and run. The worst thing is city driving. That is what kills vehicles. Just my opinion. But look at my track record with my truck.

All you need to do is maintaine and keep them washed and waxed and use good gas and then ENJOY. :auto:

Proper maintenance and what not, LS motors will last a while.

To add to that, it's not the mileage, it's hours the motor has ran. Of course Mileage affects value.

Pretty soon you will need some struts/shocks and possibly some front end work if you haven't already. You'll also need brakes in the near future too. I have 35K on mine and it's a 2008, so I'm doing pretty good keeping the miles off it. I do have a Harley I ride quite a bit when it's warmer, so that helps too.

My avalanche is 5.3 ls and its got 140,000 and my vet had 108,000 and my g8gt has 40,000. These motors are pretty impressive. Like stated above, regular service is all thats needed to keep these babies running like a champ.
