So stoked. Just took the readings and sent the file to Rick. I'll post back how things went.
Of note:
I ran the program on a VM powered by Sun VirtualBox on my Macbook Pro. Only snag was having to manually download some dll file that seemed missing from the install. After that, it all went pretty smoothly.
While running the "read" of the ECM, my dash threw an error that seemed to be linked to the brakes. It kept flashing "ABS" then "CONTACT DEALER" alternatively. I knew to not have anything on or to touch anything while the test was running, as instructed. However, this seemed odd. Could it have been because my parking brake was on?

It's normal during the read and write of the ECM. Not to worry.

Sean,
Have you had a chance to test the new file? Let us know what you think!!
As others have said, the lights on the dash are normal during the read/write process.
Thank you,
Rick LeBlanc

My VMS tune should arrive today too. Took advantage of their black friday sale.
Won't do my tune just yet as I'm putting my headers on in a couple of weeks.

So, I got the tune on. Friggin WOW. It's amazing how smooth and unending the power feels right now. It's really noticeable in 3rd and 4th when it just pulls and pulls. I think it's hard to say how it feels in 1st and 2nd because it's either going through the RPMs too fast to think about or just tripping the traction control (haven't been able to give it a good go yet since it's pretty populated around here with cops). Other than that, I love not having the 1-4 gate lockout anymore. I have a habit of going 1-3-5 anyway, but when others drive the car it's hard to explain "don't force it if it feels stuck" etc.
On a related note, I installed the app "Dynolicious" for my iPhone as well. It's pretty much a new and much better version of those old GTec devices from back in the day. It's surprisingly accurate, as I've seen a bunch of comparisons between it and actual dynos, but I'm less concerned with the accuracy of the HP numbers as I am with the consistency. It really requires a perfectly stable mount, which I didn't have yesterday, so it kept throwing "bad test" errors. Either way, it seemed pretty consistent. It averaged about 367whp before the tune and 390 after. As soon as I can mount it properly, I'll post all sorts of pics and stuff with and without the tune...
In the end, I absolutely love it. Thanks again, Rick!

Congrats and glad you are enjoying it. I remember when I said "Just an intake and tune and I'm done...."
