Saw an ad for e3 spark plugs and I was wondering if any of you guys have tried/know if they are any good? Any "big" change?

What makes it special?

This is what the company says:The strongest part of the E3 electrode design is the forced edge-to-edge spark discharge, which is the best way to get a spark to leave a surface. Our design improves upon the phenomena that drove race car drivers to "cut back" ordinary electrode spark plugs in order to improve the spark discharge. The spark itself occurs only when an avalanche of electrons migrates from the two electrodes (anode to cathode). Sharp edges are better at initiating electron migrations, and these accelerated electrons collide with matter inside the spark zone to release additional electrons. With the DiamondFire design, the whole population of electrons works to create a plasma channel through which the spark current flows more easily....yeeeeeeah(what they said)

I installed them last summer. They seem to have added some performance, little better throttle response. I also added 8.5 msd wires at the same time. Fuel economy maybe just slighty better. No huge improvement, but, every little thing does help these engines. Ran 13.57, not to shabby, but, doubt if they'd make a tenth, probably 1-2 hundreths, thats just a guess, not data to prove it, just seat of pants feeling. . Didn't dyno before and after, so, buy at your own risk. Worked fine for me.

The stock plugs are good. Charlie will tell you the same thing. Spend your money on something else. RP or Mobil 1.

Installed them in a 2007 CTS-V, after a cam, exhaust and cai. took the car to livernoise for a tune, they were not impressed, and could not add as much timing as they wanted. I would not spend the money on them.

Lost 2 HP on New Eras dyno with these plugs. We have Iridium stock and you are not gonna get much better then that. I would check gap on teh plugs you have as mine were 8 different gaps.

Stacy on Gearz was showing them off for his turbo Vette he's building right now.

Of course I would say they are the best thing to if they paid me to...

Neat idea like most of them are but they never seem to be better than stock.

I've seen them tested in lab, total scam.

Might as well index your plugs too if you are going that far with ir.

indexing is always a plus, stock plugs are really a pretty good plug, but there are better, but not the ones that are mentioned
