This will probably be looked upon as sacrilege but I'm thinking of getting a GTO badge and installing it in place of the G8 badge (keeping the GT badge). The G8 is a GTO so much better than the actual GTO. I mean our G8's feel like the GTO should have been in the first place so why not just go ahead name it that. At the very least, it will be an attention getter!

Yea but the name GTO is time honored, hallowed, hell it started the muscle car era back in the 1960's. So, naturally, the GTO name is more appealing to me, that's all. At least Pontiac put the GT badge on the car, that has to count for something!

If you want to rebadge it then do something that looks good but not a lie. Plain and simple the G8 is not the GTO and should not have its badges. Don't be one of those guys that everyone else who knows a thing or two laughs at.

The G8Gt is a stand alone BadAss car ! It doesn,t need to be rebadged a GTO.If you want to do it though ,go ahead and do it maybe put a Judge sticker on the side too!

When people ask me what we just got, I tell them it is LIKE a 4 door GTO.

I must be getting old.... I went from loud bad ass Trans Ams, and Mostly Mustangs/Cobras to
sleeper SUVs and 4 door sports cars ..... LOL

Really digging the sleeper scene.

When I took my Jeep to a Mopar event last year.....I was on the starting line against a modded, drag radialed Viper.

The announcer said, look we have a lost soccer mom with nice wheels on the track.

I then proceeded to run an 11.67 (2 car lenghts ahead of the Viper) to his 11.88.
After that pass, THEY knew what an SRT8 Jeep was. LOL

I plan on hitting high 12s first day out with the G8 GT.....with my wife driving it !

Uh, that's the point......they should stand out don't you think? And they DO match up pretty well with the GM chiklet on the side. Or do you not like that either? :boxing:

I think they look added on if the style doesn't match the rest of the badges. As for the GM chiklet, I'll be removing that because I want to install the Holden 6.0 V8 badges there. I'll probably put on of those on the trunk too, seeing I don't like the 6.0 that you have.
