Thinking Thorleys...can I add cats anywhere?

Is there any place to add cats where I can get through inspection if I grab a set of DT's? I was planning to maybe replace the resonators, but I hear that's still illegal and noticeable. Can they be squeezed in before the H pipe or anything?

I have DT's. I have looked and don't really see a good place to add cats. I think I remember that you need them as close to the manifold as possible to build heat because they need heat to work efficiently.
