I daily drive a 1999 Silverado. Does anyone else have a truck along with their G8? I figured something else non-Mustang related was needed in this forum :D

Yep, I have a '99 Siverado as well. It's a mid year change too. Fun when getting auto parts for it.

I have a 2010 GMC CanyonCrewcab SLE that I bought in May. I just added a functional twin scoop ram air hood. It's my weatherbeater.

No kidding. I always just say the 99-06 style when getting parts before they even ask.

I got a 06 Silverado Z71 with my G8. Recently rear ended a co-worker with it, so far $1500 to get it fixed, no biggie right now, trucks are still tanks. I also have 2 4th Gen Camaro's and the wife has a 08 Cobalt Sport 4dr with the 2.4L.

Well not a "truck" but upgraded from beater to weatherbeater this week with a 2005 Saturn Relay 3. It kind of looks like a truck, sort of, if you squint, looking at the front head on...

Miss my Avalanche. Don't miss 13 MPG city, 18 MPG highway (if I drove like a landmine was under my gas pedal). I had a 2002 Z-71 with every available option and a ton of mods. It was a fabulous truck, we took many long trips in it. I looked at one when I upgraded from winter beater to weatherbeater but I just couldn't swallow the MPG. Gas is still $3.00 to $3.10 a gallon around here. Washington state hates cars and trucks, but they sure love slapping taxes on anything related to them (sales tax on a car in King County is 9.8%!!!)

I seem to remember the tranny and rearend on the Colorado are right out of the fullsize truck parts bin - I would guess they would take the added HP without modification.

And FYI.... Minivans are nowhere close to being a truck.

It's my wife's vehicle but I use it to haul my dirt bikes and anything else that won't fit in the G8. And it's closer to being a truck than a car since it can carry large objects.

Hmmm according to this a minivan IS a truck:

A truck is a motor vehicle designed to transport cargo. Trucks vary greatly in size, power and configuration, with the smallest being mechanically similar to an automobile.

06 Toyota Tundra Double Cab. 60k The family car (truck) as it rides and drives better than any pickup I have ever owned. It is even faster than my 97 Silverado was and GM could learn a lot about how a auto should shift from Toyota. Not even close to the 02 Lightning as it ran mid 12's on DR's. This is the 10th pickup truck and one Kenworth (it rode like shit) but the 425 Cat would drag or haul all of the pickups no problem, 1400+ torque.

Also have a stock A6 Z-51 Corvette that is the wifes DD and has 31k on it. Nice car but not my thing. Owned too many pickups to like sitting on the ground wondering what might be going on in front of the cars I can't see over. At least the G8 sits higher and has some room in it.

2007 SRM Silverado Classic 2500HD Crew Short Duramax. My other daily driver and, prior to the G8, my mod-baby.

6" Lift, 20" Chrome, 36" Nittos, 2500 Watt sound with 3 screens, ps3, 12" subs.

Just turned 40k miles and noticed last week that my power steering and transmission line to or from the cooler is leaking. I use it for pulling a boat and the camp trailer.

I love it, but it is even more of a cop magnet than the G8. Sorry for the crappy Blackberry Picture.

I gave my son my 2004 Colorado after he got his license and I drive it every now and then and I wonder how the hell I put 382,000 miles on it verses my G8. The truck is nice but once you have power under you it is hard to go back even with gas prices going up. I get better MPG with my
G8 vs the Colorado inline 5. My car brings me a smile everytime I start her up.
