As all of the South Florida G8 owners well know, we have a distinct lack of shops who are willing and able to work on our cars. The guy I use came highly recommended by the good folks at Vector and he has given me permission to give his info out to other local G8 owners.

The shop called Performance Tech. They are on County Line Rd just East of 441. Phone is 954-985-7378 . Talk to Brent, he's the owner. They are capable of any mechanical work big or small and they have a dyno. He also has to equipment to flash Vector tunes on the G8.

Shop doesn't have a site but this is their race team site: http://www.primetimeracegroup.com/ Brent is the crew chief. This should give you some idea of the quality of cars they specialize in. The shop is generally full of Vettes and Vipers in full race trim.

Tell him Tom sent you.

Tom, if Kirk recommended them that should pretty much seal the deal. We need to have as many GOOD shops as possible supporting our cars!

Thanks for the tip!

Can you explain more their involvment in vector tuning? Can they upload the tunes straight from Vector and flash it to your car so you do not have to order the FlashXpress?

Brent and Kirk from Vector are friends and have worked together for some time. Yes, Brent can flash a vector tune onto your car. You would need to work out the details with them of course.

Will they do cam setups like Livernois or Vector? I'm just curious to know now. I don't plan on doing it for at least a year.

They don't grind cams but they can install anything you bring them.

They can install the Kooks easily, they did mine so they know the tricks. As for tuning, they use Vector for tunes. If you buy a tune from Vector they have the needed cable in the shop.
