Does anyone know the Difference between a P-1SC and a D-1SC supercharger?
Also whats the average price for each of those units?

Then it's time to hit up some of our vendors and start working them for a price. :)

Think they would help a Deployed Solider out? lol

it never hurts to ask. The worst that can happen is they tell you no.

I think he mostly means he's deployed & his internet access is limited, soooo he doesn't have the time to do all of the searches & contact the vendors.

If that's true, he can send me a pm and I'll try and help him out.

does anyone know if the F1R will fit on the bracket for the G8 and will it also fit in the same location as the normal P1SC or D1SC since i know the F1R is bigger or would modifications have to be made. just curious

I have seen an installation in a G8 and I do not think anything larger will fit without cutting/bending the wheel well. The normal one is practically touching the wheel well as it is.

I had to bang in my wheel well and remove hood liner for the D1SC; F1 unlikely I think without larger mods

well from what im reading the D1SC and the F1A are same physical size, but the F1R is def a bit bigger. wish i had someones procharged G8 to at least look at and see lol

Wreckwriter has a D1SC in his car. PM him.

I think he has said it's a fairly tight fit.

yeah, wonder how much more an F1A is over the D1SC since they are the same size

Unless you have a fully forged and built bottom end the D will give you more boost than the motor can handle. I had to change my pulley to get it in safe range.

lets just say it wont be stock cubes and i will def run a D1SC out of steam lol. just got off the phone with cincy speed. the whole build is going to bascially be in the quiet until its done next may but if it goes right then intenses record will be a thing of the past. im looking to eclipse it

Better have them put in a cage while you're at it.

im looking into cage (6pt) options and still have some backseat functionality. I will try and keep everyone in loop but dont want to reveal too much

Its not like anyone is just gonna jump up and copy a full build... at least I know most people aren't going to sink $20+k into a $20k car.

Why not? Several of us have! :brock:

I always suggest upgrading to the D-1SC when buying a new kit. It's only $230 more, and gives you the room to grow, yet still works on a fairly mild combo.

G8Headache, I can definately hook up a deployed soldier. You have a PM.

Have any thoughts on going larger than a D1SC? have you ever seen a F series (any of the different models) installed on a G8 and what would be involved....?...

The D1SC is a great blower, you can push them to 750 rwhp with ease. But if that isnt enough power for you, you can go with the F1A. It will bolt right up to the G8 kit, it has the same 9" housing, the only physical difference is that the transmission of the blower is about a 1/2" thicker, which will require you to massage the innder fender a tad, nothing excessive though. I also suggest going with the 3 core intercooler upgrade as well.

Good to know.... good to know. What price would you be looking at for the G8 kit with the F1 and 3 core upgrades?

PM Sent.

IS there a reason why you suggest a F1A versus a F1D??? thoughts? (also you were going to send me some prices but I never got any-- or I missed them???? )

The F1A is capable of more power in essentially the same sized package. it is actually capable of just over 1100rwhp as done by a C6 vette (1101rwhp and 1120rwtq)
