My dad passed away unexpectedly last October and we are planning a memorial ride in his honor on October 24th. A few of the members on here have met him as he attended a few cruises with us in his black Z06 a while back. He had cancer and he didn't find out until about 12 hours before he died.
This is a full day of events including the cruise to multiple locations across the valley, live entertainment, food, vendors, poker run/prizes and a police escorted memorial parade for the last leg of the cruise.
My dad loved fast motorcycles and fast cars, especially Corvettes and GTOs.
We are expecting a large motorcycle turnout as well as Corvette clubs. I thought it would be awesome to have a bunch of GTOs there as I will be driving mine in it.
All details can be seen at http://www.austinride.org.
Please let me know if there is any interest for anyone to attend. This should be a lot of fun and goes towards a great cause.
There is a small registration fee. All proceeds go to the Nevada Cancer Institute.
Thanks in advance,
Dave
