What signs did you have before it went out? Mine has started to have a growl or grinding sound at idle, but goes away once the rpm's climb.

Mine is starting to sound like a diesel. I hate it. Do you think they'll replace it b/c it sounds bad? 23k miles...

Make sure you turn your a/c off when the car is seeing hi rpms. That is what is causing the compressor failures I am seeing.
