I know some of you guys on here aren't big fans of the fuel rail covers, but I'd thought I'd share my little project with the others that do like them.

Thanks for the compliment.

To answer the question on how this was done, I'll try to answer it. These are LS3 Corvette fuel rail covers that I bought off of ebay. They were brand new and in the original boxes. When I got them, I fitted them via cutting here and there. I think there's been a thread or two about this step. Next, I filled in the "Corvette" and "LS3" with Bondo that I purchased from Autozone(see the red box in the first picture). After numerous steps of filling and sanding, I finally got everything smooth. I then primed them with primer paint I bought at Wally World. After they dried, I painted them Gloss Black by Krylon for plastic. After a few coats and they dried, I put a couple of pieces of firewall heat shield under the covers to protect the area where the Bondo was used. I did that just incase for heat protection. Today, I finally got my decals and put them on and the rest is history. Hoped this answer your question. If you have any more, just let me know. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures during the process.

Even thought I won't have engine covers, I respect the work others do.

I respect that. I wasn't trying to take a jab at anyone. If it sounded like that, I apologize.
