I'm going to get the GXP with the manual transmission as soon as they hit the dealers lot. I'm going to get a cold air intake first. I want to get a tune after the CAI. I plan on getting long tube headers eventually but that will be a little ways off. What type of horsepower gains do you guys think I'll get with just the CAI and a tune? I know this would be a straight up guess but a rough idea would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I would guess around 400 to the wheels.

You think that much? That would be great if that turns out to be the case.

Less power loss through the M6, I am guessing if you get the right intake and tune a minimum of 40 rwhp which will be about your powertrain loss so if stock is 413? you should be there!

Damn that would rock! I figured the GXP would probably put down around 330-340 rwhp stock. If it's more than that then I'm happy.

I'm really eager to see your results with your intake. I wish someone did a stock vs intake test. You've got a lot of support mods and you should see larger gains than stock shouldn't you?

After talking to him today I was on the right track with my mods and thats why they work, but I knew the car needed more air. Now I will have what I need to max out the efforts and the rest is going to be 60ft and tune. Also I would guess 350-360rwhp on a stock GXP.

Damn, I did some hunting on the Corvette forums. I seem to remember that the Corvettes don't lose quite as much horsepower in the drive train as a "standard" RWD car. You got any idea if that is close to the truth?

Check this dyno graph out of a (supposedly) bone stock 09 Corvette with a manual transmission. I had no idea that they were putting that much power to the ground.

They are 436hp, so drop the # 23 and you should be right where I said.
