The directions say to disconnect the battery. Should I disconnect it in the trunk or under the hood ???

I also saw a thread that had all the torque specs for the bolts. But I can't
seem to find it now.

Aren't the header bolts 11lbs on the first pass /middle out/ 18 lbs on the
2nd pass ??

and make damn sure your key is not on when you disconnect the battery.

I've never heard that, Tom...what is the reason?

It will activate, and therefor kill, your Onstar backup battery.

Also be sure to leave your trunk open , there will be no power to open it.

If this ever happens flip the center of the rear seat down and just to the left is a pull release. I highly recommend everyone locating this BEFORE you have a issue so you dont panic. I had to change my battery at 2800 miles. Not fun to walk out at 6:30am and have no idea how to get in the trunk! lol
