also wanted to do a compairison from stock to when i do some minor mods to see if my times get better
i was also running my staggered 20's with 285 on back.

and my last run of the night was my ego boost run lol. i was lined up against a Mazda RX8. i ran a 15.77, and he ran a 16.02 so that ended up getting my first white timeslip for the win

Good run. I know the Generation VI Grand Prix would run 15.4 to 15.7 stock out of the box; the Generation VII would run 15.7 to 16.3 stock out of the box; if you took all of the weight out (spare tire, etc. etc.) and pulled out the driver's head lamp to get a ram air effect into the stock airbox. So the "base" G8 is on parity with the Grand Prix it replaced in the base engine configuration; while being a better car top to bottom.

Thanks Guys, My mods for over the winter hopefully will be a intake, not sure what one tho. I can get a killer deal on a k&n threw my work, but i know theres better ones. The solo axlebacks, a leaf blower hahahahha, and bc coilovers.
I really want the cpr6 but for the 2k to get it here, i could throw in a 3-4k more and buy a salvage gt and do a powertrain swap. But seein how i seen in another thread a guys friend modded some camaro v-6 headers i might look into that, Or i got a really good exhaust guy that said he could make me a custom set. I also might get those manifold spacers some of you are running and was thinking about he underdrive pully, but no ones had any luck with that

Yeah, no one has really been ably to vouch for the UD pulley. The only guy I knew that was brave enough to run it had his water pump give out and the dealership wouldn't cover it under warranty. Not sure if it is worth it, but the more I think about it the more I want to give it a try.

Wow, pretty cool. Slightly edges out my rockered-but-otherwise-stock Series 1 3800 Bonneville SSEi :D
I'm also planning on an LY7-powered G8 some time in the future.

15.43 @ 91 here back in June before any mods. I'll take her back in the spring and see if any of the mods made any difference. I did feel like a schmuck though. The slowest one there minus the beat to hell 80's camaros and firebirds being driven by the high schoolers. Oh well. Love the car. My goal is someday to get her in the 14's.

I have put a K&N intake on 3 other vehicles before my G8 and will stand by what they make. Easy to install, and every single part resembles the more expensive guys. I say do it.

Absolutely LOVE the Super Turbos. At first they did drone pretty bad for the first week but after that it got less and less and there is no drone at all now. You can tell they are not stock but not magnaflow either. It's perfect for someone who wants great flow and wants a little noise. They are exactly what I wanted an then some. Again love them especially for the price

That is good info. I'm not a huge fan of the Solo axlebacks. They sound great @ WOT but during regular city driving, it's a bit much for me. Great to see there are other alternatives.

They are great for a daily driver. They probably flow about as good as anything out there as well. Here is a link to a free rev video. The last rev was up to about 3500 rpms

I know I am pushing to get into the 14s and I am nowhere close. To the best of my knowledge I have the fastest verified quarter mile of a V6 and that is 15.38 @ 92.5 mph. I'd love Hazer to track his. He can prob pull a high 14.

Hazer tracked his Friday at GONE but I don't know what he ran.

Being a huge w-body fan and still an owner of 3 GPs, one turbo'd GP making close to 600whp, I wouldn't say the G8 is a better car top to bottom, especially mechanically. While the GP does have some mechanic issues, as does the G8, the 3800 is by far a better engine reliability wise than the LY7/L76. The 3800 doesn't come with a camshaft self grind mod like the L76 does lol.

My daily driven 2007 RAV4 has run 14.8 @ 94.
