View Full Version : Am I the only one?

With every performance car that I've had I've always spun my way through the rear tires MUCH MUCH faster than the fronts. My Camaro had brand new tires on it when I bought it (used) and I needed new tires 1500 miles later. I know I'm probably harder on cars than the average person but am I that much worse?
The thing that got me thinking about this is the posts that people have put up about wanting their rims to be the same width so they could rotate tires. I actually prefer that my back tires are wider to minimize the spinning a little. I don't think I've every had to rotate a set of tires on any "fast" car that I've had. I just burn through the back tires replace them and keep going.

I don't know if the rear blizzaks are going to last me all season...:hang: I didn't even have the car broken in before changing to these and these are SOFT SOFT SOFT! They spin at the drop of a hat.:nud:

I got a lot more miles out of my Portenza's than I expected. My tires may be much older than the car and are not as soft as they should be.

Another nice thing about Blizzaks is whenever it warms up (45 or more) they get greasy.

Lots of fun.

Try a nice 60 degree day.

Ugh.

Yeah, me too.
You want to try and see how it works for me, when the 275/35/19 RE050A costs $875 each.
Needless to say I am not going OEM replacements.

If you want to replace your tires with a different tire and don't want to run with a mismatch, front to rear, having the rears wear out first can cause a dilemma.
