I'll be running the OEM Potenzas. They make staggered size too. 19 x 9.5, 45 mm OS but I want to be able to rotate tires.

Nice wheels Ed, but they look more gun metal than black.

Hyper black is more of a transparent silvery black color if that makes any sense.

Are you ready for this? $549 delivered, new in boxes, including locks and hub centric rings. This great price let me make an equally great deal for one of our board brothers who was looking for a set of OEM 19s.

They didn't have the Hyper Black listed but i asked anyway and they had a couple of sets of the ST-1.

UPS tracking says they are due on Tuesday. I have new 4 TPM sensors coming from Pace ($174) so once everything is here, I'll mount them and get them on the car long enough to take some photos.

Snow? What snow? I don't see no stinkin' snow.

They even have a drawing every month where they select one customer at random from that month and refund the purchase price of his order. Last months winner got a refund of over $1200 for a set of wheels and tires he ordered.

Did they have the 9.5s in stock?

I didn't ask. E-mail them. I think they only sell in sets of 4 so i suspect they don't have the 9.5 because it is a rear only.

If they don't or can't get them, this place lists them and some nice looking Stern wheels:
AVN Motorsport

Don't know if they stock it but:

19 x 8.5, 5 x 120, 40 mm offset, $179.99
19 x 9.5, 5 x 120, 46 mm offset, $189.99
Free shipping.
Set, About $740 delivered.

The offset on our stock 19" wheels is 49 mm so the center line of the 9.5 is only 3 mm more outward than the stock wheel. That is a little less than 1/8". The rim would be 7/8" closer to the fender lip and the sidewall of a 275/35-19 would be a bit further still.

Think it would rub?

Potenza 240/40-19 tread width=8.8", section width= 9.9"
275/35-19 =10.2" =10.9

Measured from the centerline of the wheel the 275 is 0.7" tread and 0.5" section closer to the fender lip than the 240. The rim is 0.5" closer. Add 1/8" more to each number for the 46 mm offset vs. the stock 49 mm offset.

My guess is that the new 9.5" rim will be 5/8" closer to the fender lip than the OEM 19s.
The tread will be about 0.82" closer.
The sidewall will be 5/8" closer.

You might get a feel for how it may fit by looking at the stock 19s on your G8 and see if there is room to the numbers above.

This is just playing with numbers and just my guess based on the tire and wheel specs so proceed at your own risk.

Make sure you weigh them before mounting them please. I would like to know their actual weight.

Does anybody have a weight for the OEM 19s?
