Just so I don't get 50 members asking me about that puff of smoke on cold start, you should know that every night when I put the car in the garage I pull all 8 sparkplugs and inject 20cc of Mobile One into each cylinder to reduce start-up scuff.

The initial smoke looked like oil smoke (which I don't think is good). The smoke after running the car for a few seconds is condensation in the exhaust system burning off. Once the exhaust gets up to operating temps that should go away. I would be worried about the blue smoke at start up though. How many miles do you have on your car Penguin?

Just turned 10K. If most of you stand behind your car on first start of the day, chances are you will see the same thing. :p

I watch my car start every morning as I open the garage door from inside the house and hit the start button and I KNOW it doesn't smoke. It condensates but that's because it's cold as crap right now.

Well, you are right. Started mine this AM with the remote standing right behind it. Not only was there no blue smoke, but no condensation. Warmer & raining today. WTF? :p
