Just wanted to let everybody know about a Car show that is being held on our plant grounds:
SEPT 12th SUNDAY
HOURS: 12-4pm (if showing car showup anywhere from 8am-10am if possible)
FREE TO ALL..... donations accepted...
This car shows is the Largest in Ohio and last year attracted over 50,000people and had over 1500 cars... (some say up to 2000 cars, but count is between 1500-2000)
LOCATION: Toledo, Ohio
GMPT Plant
1455 West Alexis, Toledo, Ohio 43612
(note: park is located south west of plant off of Jackman road...)
Enter park off of Jackman Road or park in GMPT Plant parking off of Jackman Road.. (alexis road is in the middle of heavy construction) There will be signs.... From the GM parking lot there is a path in the back (south/east side of the parking lot) that goes into the park.... or you can walk down Jackman and enter at the park.
Coming from North (detroit, etc..)
I-75 south to Alexis road exit- turn right and follow Alexis west till you past the plant and make a Left onto Jackman or enter parking lot just west of Speedway gas station..
Coming from South...
I-75 north to alexis road... then turn left and go west... (see instructions above)
This is a huge event.... food, cars, new car dealers, vendors, swap meet..... you are welcome to show your car or cars... just show up anywhere from 8am to 10am.... (people start showing up around 6am but we cant let them in until Daylight...)
Bring your G8 or other hot rods.... I would love to see a group of G8's there..... (mine was going to go, but now Engine is messed.....)
I will be working there from 12-2 around the area where we are letting visitors drive new GM models for test drives... (riding in the vehicles with visitors)... look for me and say Hi.... ask for "Chuck"
I was also trying to get a couple tours of the Plant for some of the G8 and Camaro guys but we are not running production that day and it might not be that interesting if it is all shutdown so I will do it some other time...... (ps... we make the 6L50, 6L80, 6L90 transmissions and now also the 6T40 and 6T45)
