Yep, I do have a paypal account or I can pay through paypal as I just ordered the oil can kit for the intake. I guess I'd put it where the current GM badge is now located, unless you have a better idea. Let me know and I'll order one from you. Thanks.

If you're replacing the little square GM badge on the fender , then you'll need a pair of V8 badges. One badge for each side of the car.

US$35 for a pair of V8 Badges delivered to your door. [Deal #4]

Yes, you need 2. Before you debadge the chicklet take a look at the GXP pics. Pontiac put the badge next to it on both sides. BTW, these are top quality factory grade badges. They look even better in person.

Yep, I like the look of them. Reminds me of all the v-8 badges on the muscle cars of the 60's. It looks really cool and for a measly $35, it's well worth it. Thanks for your input.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner on this but one last question: is this the place where the V-8 badges are intended to go, on the fender where the GM badges currently are?

Yes this is where Holden installs them. You will remove the GMs.

It's pretty sad really, it's like Holden have said OK we've built this car , now you Pontiac guys run off and design the fender badges you want on it.

Is the sticky backing on the 6.0 litre V-8 badges sufficient to keep the badges on the car long term or should I use another glue? Thanks your help in advance.

Crazy Paul

The sticky backing is fine.

Besides even if a badge did fall off it's way cheaper to replace than repair some glue/duco fiasco.

It's the Holden factory emblems, so if you want to take them off it will be just as difficult as it is to take the Pontiac badges off.

That's some sticky sh*t!

I just installed my V8 6.0 litre badges. The easiest way, and the way where there is no chance of any damage being done to the paint is as follows:
1. get a hair dryer and put it about two inches from the top of the GM badge. I had mine on high.
2. with a very small screwdriver, put a little pressure on the upper edge of the badge towards you, away from the car.
3. keep the hair dryer on the back side of the badge as it lifts off due to your continued application of pressure with the screw driver.
4. It will come completely off with all of the backing on the GM badge intact.
5. clean up the glue residential with whatever product you like.
WaLa!

any 6.2 liter badges available to do the same with the GXP ?

Crazy Paul
05-21-2012, 07:53 AM
Nothing from HSV.
There's aftermarket badges on ebay and such but IMO they're not good enough quality for the exterior of the car.
eg:
Base material is flat aluminium strip.
