Hello people .. i hope you all doing fine

i want to ask you about the 160 thermostat ??

i just had my hypertech 160 thermostat and i wonder if is it ok for the engine ??

Here in the Middle East - Saudi Arabia .. its about 48 degrees - about 118 F ..

and if you say it is good for the engine .. can you please tell me the numbers for the fans to be tuned ??

thanks ..

I have had 160 Deg T's in both my G8's for over a year. I did not adjust fans, but found engine temps to stay around 180 with these 160 deg T's. Know you can lower temp even more if you do adjust the fans.
What you say.... Charlie????

I don't have the 160 YET, but plan on it. I changed my fans to kick on @ 225* I've seen others set theirs as low as 195*

With the high temps in your area a 160 t-stat will keep the motor cooler, but you should lower the fan turn-on temp to make full use of it. I'm running a stock t-stat but I lowered the temp the fans come on with my Superchips tuner and my motor runs cooler.

Thats what I did as well Don. Stock t-stat but lowered the tewmp for fans. Seems to be working out so far.
