Yesterday I went drag racing for the first time ever. It sure is addicting!! I did a total of eight runs but here are the best one.
This all on street tires.
R/T.......709
60'.......1.938
330......5.283
1/8.......7.989
MPH......90.98
1000.....10.314
1/4.....12.264
MPH....116.48

On all eight runs I managed low, mid, and high 12s and a few low 13s. But ever run had traction problems. I notice every time was at third gear at about 99mph all I get is major wheel spin all the way to my finishing speed!! My car has Roto-Fab CAI, Magnaflow exhaust, ported intake, tuned, peddlers street kit 2 and a magnacharger. Hp is at 450 and tq at 490. I have the sport package with 19" rims. I need some advice on Drag radials and rim size and width.

Looking at Nitto, Mickey Thompson, and Hoosiers can anyone recommend a rim size and width for either 17"s, 18"s or 20"s?

Would there be any difference in having a 275/40R17 MT ET Street DR or MT 265/40R18 with 19"s up front? What should be my rims size and with in this case?

At this point I am done doing research and up for suggestions, comments, whatever???

Great ETs! What is your combo? It is OK to use different size wheels. With yor car running those times I would get 26x11.50x17s ET strreets. They are basically a slick with grooves. NOT for everyday driving! Excellent for the track.

point me at a store or web site where I can get these? Do you got a kind of wheel or rim type? What is a combo?

Zozo; don't forget to scan your time slip that you showed me, or the faster one with more mph would be better. Then you can post it and get on the fastest times summary sheet. You should, as the way you have had your car set up, it's really fast. I can attest to that since I've seen it run!

Most are using Camaro SS 17x9 wheels. Combo = MODS. Uh I just read your whole post! LOL I see the Maggie works well.
Anyone that sells Mickey Thompson Tires or Summit Racing for sure.

On the very first thread in this section, titled "Fastest ETs". 99-LS1-SS will spot your post and add it to the list. By the way, you are second fastest of them all!

Just add some Red Bull to your tank, it will help float you across the finish
