Awesome, Awesome, Awesome best describes the difference the front and rear bars have made on my 09 GT. I've been driving for 4 days since the install and it's very noticeable. I can whip the car around any curve, turn, etc., now without feeling like the car is going to roll over. It's so stable and stronger feeling. Like I have more contact to the road. Install went great, even in the driveway. Just get the front end up pretty high for removing the factory front bar. Big THUMBS UP to BMR for again making their awesome products. Thanks to Kyle for getting me the new updated brackets as well. If your thinking about them, do it!! :cool2:

Travis most people run them on the stiffest setting which is what I generally recommend. The stiffest setting will give you the best preformance and doesn't really change up the driveability of the car until it the car is pushed hard and then the sway bars start to do there work.

Glad you are enjoying them Dave! :D

I went stiffest on front and 2nd to on back... I like the results with my Pedders springs and struts.
It's fun as hell when you hammer on it around a corner and it just hooks and doesn't lean... Man this thing's a beast now.

Make sure you grease em up enough. I failed to completely grease the front and they made some nasty squeaky noise. When I reinstalled the new brackets I generously lubed the bearings and now they are quiet as a mouse

Now that I finally got a job I'd like to buy the swaybars. As soon as I pass my 30 day probation period and get a few paychecks I'll pull the trigger.

That's what I think too, most of the aftermarket parts for the G8 are expensive so these swaybars are a good deal.

mine showed up on the doorstep yesterday along w/ trailing arms, toe rods, & tunnel brace. Waiting on the coilovers, bushings, bolts, and for TPTBOY to get back in town so I can buy his wheels/tires and get them powercoated.
Now I'm wondering if I can pull the trigger on headers while waiting on the wheels and get everything put on at once. That may be pushing it...
What do the new brackets do? i installed the rear bar in the middle position and it was to stiff for me as i have courtesy of a drunk driver, 6 bad disks in my back and am suseptable to a compromised ride. Four days later is installed the front bar on the softest and put the rear on the softest as well and find it the perfect compromise. With the stiffer bushings it took away suppleness that gave me a head ache that is directly connected to the pain in my disks from jaring. Now that i have both on the softest is is what i wanted with only around a 15% compromise in ride quality when only one wheel hits a bump. If equal for both wheels you won't notice it. I knew from racing another car that sway bars are a compromise. Since i use the car in business and take clients in it, i couldn't have the ride compromised much more or i would likely get complaints. Recently i had Mike Haddad install the toe links and trailing arms that are quite a bit heavier than stock, which affects reaction of the suspension as any increase in unsprung weight would do. Also due to the stiffer bushings, more noise in transfered inside. Would have been more ideal if a lighter chromeoly of the same strength was used i suspect. i had Mike Haddad do the 4 wheel alignment after and he is quite good and reasonable. Would recommend him if you are in So. Cal.. Definite improvement overall. Adjustable bars should have come stock as they are easy to change settings at the track. Very happy with these bars at the softest setting. i know that roll was decreased by 50% or more even at the softest. Handles much better and this past weekend installed the tower brace which improves control inputs with more precision while in a corner with minimal to no change in ride quality. Second best purchase after the Vararam and HSRK from Marty Lake. Stays within one degree from ambient typically. BTW had Mike do the alignment after toe link install and trailing arms and would recommend doing so or tire wear could become an issue.
Kyle,
Do you guys have anybody in Canada stocking?

What do the new brackets do?
They are direct replacement brackets for our sway bars. The Energy suspension brackets were bending on creating noise issue with a few customers, so we cam e out with the new updated sway bar brackets that are much stronger and have taken care of the issue completely. If you would like a set of the updated brackets shoot me a PM with your mailing address.
Thanks,
Kyle

Kyle,

Not that I know of at this point, we do have quite a few distributors up there but I don't think really any of them stock too much G8 stuff. We do have these items and can ship out the same day they are ordered. Also I am pretty sure Summit Racing has these in stock if that is an option you are interested in. If there is anything I can do for you let me know.

how stiff will the ride be on the max level (3rd notch?)? I already got eibach springs and monroe gt struts, also will be installing tunnel brace and sub frame connectors. I think all this should do a good job of eliminating the body roll which i hate. really want the car planted but don't want to hit a bump or rough road and feel like the frame is about to break in half.

With the sway bars on max stiffness you really wont notice any difference till you push the car or make sudden movements. The sway bars will help the body roll considerably as would lowering springs but I would do the sway bars first because you may honestly be satisfied with the cars overall perfromance with just the sway bars. Our BMR sway bars are nice to drive around on and perform incredibly for the price, if you decide you want to pick up a set give me a call at the shop or you can order them online thru or website.
Thanks,

I am continually suprised at the number of folks asking about ride stiffness regarding sway bars. The absolute "stiffest" of sway bar should not significantly affect normal ride quality...period. They affect how flat the car is in turns. They adjust the cars turning characteristics toward understeer or oversteer. That's it. The car may seem "stiffer" because turn in is quicker, but the reality is that the springs and shocks affect how "stiff" the car is (actually just the spring rate, the shocks/struts affect the dampening characteristics of the springs). Poly bushings also play a part in ride quality, due to the amount of NVH transmitted through them to the chassis.
If you already have springs/struts, you will not notice any change in the harshness of your ride. Just a much flatter and more predictable corner.

all i can say is that i have OE springs, struts, and BMR front and Rear Sway Bars and it rides great. The sway bar didn't just keep the car from having body roll, but in fact does make the car stiffer bouncing up/down....
if you drove a G8 with only BMR Sway Bars at the stiffest settings, you may never invest in coil overs or what ever else is out there.....these sway bars compensate for a lot of other variables in our cars......

Yes i already have springs and struts installed. Sub frame connectors are sitting in garage and the tunnel brace and sway bars are on there way on a UPS truck. I think all of that should eliminate body roll and improve handling drastically. Not auto crossing the car but hate taking off and on ramps and have
car feel like its about to roll over.

I took an off ramp with a pretty good curve approaching 100 MPH, which I know I shouldn't be doing, and in NO WAY was the car going to roll, i hugged the white line which was two feet from the metal barrier the whole way off of I 295 on to a local street, it was the type of off ramp that had a merge lane to the local street. I go home that way every day and I have lots of fun...LOL...
