What's up guys,
Does anybody have interest in getting a full size spare for our G8? I was talking with our local discount tire and they can get a 18" full size spare tire/wheel for $125 is what I was quoted. Does this seem like a good deal? If any others are interested, they have no problems with getting these in.
It seemed like a good deal to me, just curious if there's better deals out there or if I should just go this route.

Most seem to be buying 1 18 or 19 inch take off. That way they have 5 matching wheels.

That would be a bonus and I know I would hunt those down if I was looking for some drag wheels. I haven't seen any for sale in theat price range though. For something I would keep in my trunk with the pace kit, wasn't sure if that was a good deal or if I should do like you suggest and hold out for a take off

I'm guessing that the 18" full size spare is still probably one of those whimpy thin tires that say not to go over 60 mph...just my guess considering the low cost.

my 18"GTO spare is rated for 125 mph. They are not cheap (tires, that is.) and are not readily available. Must be some other wheel/tire combo.

Well... I got a quote for a new oem stock 18" with a used tire off a solstice for $125 + tax. Seems like a deal to me.

Make sure you do your homework before spending the money. The GTO "full size spare" does not fit the back, only the front.
