I sent them a message through Ebay checking them on their supposed G8 GTR. We all know there is no such thing and that the dealer is misleading the buyers.

Just a G8 the dealer tricked out a bit and added the "R".

First, let me say thanks to GRRRR8 for inviting me to this forum. I went to this exact same dealer when I was looking for a G8. The salesman on the phone said he had a black G8 with a V6. I wanted the V8, but I had not seen a black G8 in person, so I drove up to check it out. First thing I notice, it has a V8. How do you not know your product? I may quit my regular job and become a new car salesman.. at least I will know what's under the hood. It had a cloth interior, so I passed on the car.

Agreed. Maybe not they way I would have gone with the wheels and rear end, but nothing too far out there. The "R", however, in unforgivable. It couldn't look more out of place. No one that is considering a G8 would have any interest in that. It takes the entire car from a nice little one-off to something that should earn the creator a straight punch in the mouth.

I have a client who basically does this for his dad's car lots. Daddy owns several different dealerships and his son gets to play with the cars, put stereos wheels and tires suspension kits etc... He always has toys at the house to play with and share with us when we go over. Actually that reminds me, i need to see if he wants to run me in his Magnum SRT-8

Dealers pull this all the time. The Tsin, or however they spell it, edition was better done, but its the same thing basically. Someone makes alterations and try to sell it as special editions. there were the Blackbird Edition transams, ZL1 Camaros, just to name a coupe recently. But in the years past there were of course COPO Camaro's, Yenko's, Shelby mustangs, etc..

I like the Charger Daytona in front of it. I was gonna buy that instead of my
G8 but the Dodge dealer I went too sucked and wouldnt budge on the $40K price tag.

The wheels look similar to the Breyton Race CS but to spoke pattern is a bit different, plus with those sizes they would have rubbing unless they rolled the fenders on the rear.

Just a reminder from an old guy here. I grew up watching dealers cram 427's in cars adding, intakes, headers, exhausts, stickers and decals, naming them Yenkos and and various other names. Now they are priceless. Dodge dealers did the same thing with the Mopars. Nothing new and really benefits the person who wants a G8 with a few light mods without he or she having to go through the trouble of ordering parts and installing them or paying to have them installed. I would like to see a dealer with the balls to drop an LS7 in them and sell them to the public with a warranty.
