Hmmmm, maybe I should list mine for $50k, I don't have the cat back, headers, pinstriping or dash kit....sounds fair, right?
Not a chance! I like my car too much!

I saw that earlier. Crazy. If I could get that much for mine, I would have a CTS-V.

I sent the seller a reality check:

Put down the crack pipe, you'll NEVER get that much for a $35,000 car. LOL!

DREAMING! Does the seller think that these are actually collectors items already?

I contacted the seller directly, and he is a really nice guy. He only priced the car this way on the advice of the broker trying to sell the car, and based on some incomplete information on the rarity of his car. I suggested that he keep it and enjoy it, and he may be doing that afterall. He really likes the car.

I was thinking of selling my gxp for 80,000 but mine is painted exactly like the firehawk red and black and with red&black leather seats, and mine has 5,600 miles, but my car is fully bolt with cam and stall with nitrous kit everything its a 10 sec. Car. Over here where i live in south texas its the only 10 sec. Car painted like the firehawk and not only that but i was the first one to buy the gxp in valley 1&1/2 year ago, and all 5 gxp's in the valley have more than 5,600 miles, so im oldest with car with less mileage. But remember guys the gxp was the first year on g8 and last year to make them so that's why there expensive

yeah, nobody in their right mind should shell out that kind of money for a GXP. Modding it actually makes it worse from a collector's standpoint, so you're really devaluing it.

If you're serious about turning a profit on the GXP, leave it stock and park it for 20 years. Oh, and get a manual. If you bought the slushbox GXP, you should be slapped. The manuals will turn the real profit. Those are the most desirable. Wish I had one now, I hate the auto. Been sitting at the dealership over 2 weeks while they rip it apart to find out why it doesn't want to play nicely.

Gee, I was going to ask $60,000 for my V6 and include a new air freshner. Most NON modified GXPs are going for about $34,000.

There are G8's with a stick that are having problems too, so it's not any better than an automatic from a reliability standpoint.

It's not a matter of him not treating the car right when his trans is defective from the factory. He's not the only one that's having automatic trans troubles. Many other G8 owners are too, and it seems some of the dealers don't know how to repair them. Evidently you didn't comprehend what he said so I quoted it below for you to read again:
