I know nothing about skinnies or what size i would have to look for. I was wondering if someone could post a good skinny tire and rim that will fit on our car with out modding anything, if that is possible. I will probably be running a 275/40/17or18 drag radial in the back.

Thanks for you help
Jon

Is that a donut? Is it safe to go 115 mph on it?

George and several others have, but I wouldn't drive far on them. Summit has Greg Weld FRs for sale $99 each but you'll need longer studs.

They are rated much higher (125mph I think). It is safe, but there is not a lot of tread on them, so I put them on at the track.
They are getting harder to find, but you can get the rims at Pace, and M&H (I think) sells a tire that will fit. Make sure you are looking at radial/radial or bias/bias for front and rear - for safety's sake.

You have a link for the Summit sale price? I can't seem to find it.

You actually need skinnier and longer studs. I believe Charlie used 1/2"x3". You have to use a shanked lug nut.
