Question!

What do you think, taking a base G8 GT, would it take to make it into something comparable or better than the Firehawk?

What mods would you do different than SLP did?

List specific parts if you can.

This is just a simple excercise. What would you do to a base G8 GT to make it comparable to a Firehawk besides what SLP did? Nothing more, nothing less.

The rules:

Must be based off of a base 2009 G8 GT 6.0L V8.
Cannot surpass the listed price of the G8 Firehawk (Must include the initial price of the G8 GT).
Cannot use any parts from SLP.
*assuming* Base model 2009 G8 GT with 0 miles starts at $33,000 if you could get one today.

Just to make it an even number comparable to the Firehawk price, lets say $20,000 is all you have to play with after buying a base G8 GT.

Mod Catagories:

Suspension (including bushings for engine mounts and such)
Power Adders
Exhaust
Intake
Tires
Rims
Drivetrain

List all of your part costs (MSRP)
List your final build costs (MSRP)

GO!

I don't have the time to list everything right now, but I still would have another 10k to play with. I'd take my current G8 over the Firehawk model anytime.

Firehawks are based on the G8GT.
They only added
1. Supercharger and tune w/CAI
2. Suspension springs
3. cat back exhaust
4. wheels and tires are the exact same size(19"), just a slightly different design
5. Brakes $$

Could probably do all this for about $10-12K, not including the wheels and tires.

The mark up on that car over what's done to it is really just insane, haha.

Add in a set of Camaro SS Brakes and you'd have something so far beyond a Firehawk that it would be staggering...

My car is still cheaper than a Firehawk and I will destroy it in every way......... absolutely destroy it!!!!!

However the engine and trans warranty would have been nice.....

I think even with just my Cam and converter I would still have beaten it.......
