Anyone have any clues what the job market is like in TX (doesn't matter really where.. Austin,Dallas,Houston) for Software Architects/Engineers? (specialty C++ & C#/.NET)

If you know of any jobs available like that in TX, feel free to shoot me a PM!

Seriously thinking about it... something a bit sunnier, with cheaper housing (and heck, better speed shops!) is starting to sound pretty good.. lol

Search Houston and Austin.

Austin is sorta called Silicon Hills, lots of tech companies. Houston just has a bit of everything in it, it's pretty much the economical hub of Texas.

BTW, Texas is as Texas does. It's why this state isn't suffering as badly as other states from this depression.

I was just talking about this at work.. Relocate to Texas...seriously. We would be relocating a primarily software development company. Not enough work in WNY. Coincidence.

The Dallas market is always pretty strong. The problem I have with Austin is if you lose your job, there aren't as many jobs there, so you will have a harder time finding work. Although, Austin is an awesome place to live. BTW, I work in HR, so I am looking at the job market all the time.

Soon you'll need a passport :)
2 rules.
1. Don't come empty handed...bring beer.
2. Once you get here, you can't bitch about the heat...that would just be wrong.

Hope you find something.

Exactly! Make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. It' been raining and cooler here for the past week or so, but soon enough it will be back to 100-110 everyday and it will stay hot/warm until like November.
