All I have left to do is program the window switch. I have the tach signal coming from the front driver's side coil purple wire and I know you are supposed to multiply by two. It looks like Zex doesn't make it that easy- looks like there are three settings:
(the numbers are what shows on the switch display)
"0 0 = individual coil per cylinder systems where the TACH wire is connected to the coil
0 1 = coil packs that fire in pairs (waste spark systems) and the TACH wire is connected to the coil
0 2 ~ 12 = number of engine cylinders, from 2 to 12, where the TACH wire is connected to the tach from the engine electronic controller or distributor"
Sooo.... Which setting do I use?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I would guess 0 0
Reason being the coil packs dont fire in pairs and the Tach wire is not connected to the ECU. But maybe someone else can confirm?

Thanks for your help! I tried it and the rpms on the display look correct so I assume it's working?
Another question-
If I'm only running a 75 shot is it safe to use the superchips vararam 91 tune? Would the 87 tune pull a couple degrees of tuning? Should I go all the way back to he stock tune?

I'm eventually planning to run a bigger shot with a real tune (hopefully by Patrick G) but I want to wait until after I get lt headers/exhaust at the end of July...

What wire did you end up using? I 'm planning installing an rpm switch for various goodies soon.
Oha I see it "driver's side coil purple wire" it this the one you ended up using?

Yep.....is the basic RPM feed wire for pretty much everything.

It's safe if you think sticking your dick in a hooker with herpes is safe... you'll survive but its not the safest way to do it, get it tuned for spray. Especially because nobody stays at a 75 shot, they always want more.
Huh.. I guess that's a no... The plan is to get a real tune after the headers/exhaust at the end of the month. In the mean time though, I know the stock tune is safe for a 75 shot. Can I get input specifically on whether or not you think the 87 tune has enough timing pulled for a small shot?
Thanks again for your advice.
