1. Always do.
2. Can't help but get hung up. Numbers are all we are about! (6 - pack, 12 - oz., 2 - damn much alcohol to see straight)

2. Seems to effect ETs the most! LOL

So true. I have seen people who did a mod on their vehicle and really enjoyed it with the new found performance. Then when they run on the dyno and get something less than they expected they feel different. For instance, a mod that gains allot of power under the curve but doesn't make anymore peak horsepower. I tell my friends all the time, we drive the car not the numbers. While numbers are indicative they are somewhat arbitrary when it comes down to it.

As a performance business owner I focus quite a bit on the numbers because it is my job to so. I have to ensure that my customers get the best deal and the most gain for their money. Its my job to worry about that stuff not theirs. They pay the money so they can drive their car and have fun doing it.

Well, the season is over at the local track. I would scan the slips in but they are almost completely unreadable (still - track refuses to replace printer ribbon).
Races went something like this...
1st. TCS off, sport mode, short burnout, after launch (late), car decided to shift to manual, which I didn't identify until 1/2 track. result 13.34 sec, 3.36 60 ft

2nd. TCS still off, sport mode, same everything else as the first, except BOTH hands on the wheel. Result 9.06sec 2.17 60ft. (81.24 mph)

3rd. The colder weather rolled in. Initially humidity was in the 90s, at 70 degrees. It sprinkled some as the temps dropped. Track closed shortly. When it opened, I ran a 8.85 w/ a 2.18 60 ft (81.73 mph). TCS on this time, normal mode

4th. with temps in the 60 degree range, humiditiy still high, ran a 8.78, 2.06 60 ft @ 81.80 mph same setup.

5th and final. same setup ran a best of 8.72 with a 2.05 60 ft. @ 82.13 mph

the only mod I have to date are HSRK and UDP (and of course Charlies LP mod)
This was a little better than I expected with my setup and a slick track. Wait till next year!

Go to HRP...full 1/4 and good track. I'll probably try to go next weekend as a couple of old buddies will be out to run. I'm still stock to the paper filter so it will be all baselines for me...

I work all this week and am about to leave for two days in Corpus in a few, so I don't think Fri. but more leaning toward Sun. evening when I get off...

PM me if you want to go...Zed

Thanks, I think I'll wait on the tune/CAI for the next runs.
