G8 GT vs. Ion Redline from 40-110

Sorry guys, the GT lost to a supercharged 2.0 from 40 to 110. Me and a few guys were messing around after we got stickers on for our rally and this Ion Redline looked mean but I figured I could beat him. I should have killed him from the light! I'll let the video do the explaining.

Ok lets figure this out now.. What mods do you have?? By the video sounds like none..now how was your car set for that run?? Regular drive/manual were you in the right gear cause based on the vid you were not. The car didnt even move when you floored it unless you feathered in from a roll race lol... What mods did the Saturn have?? Damm you got beat by a Saturn... Plus you had a passenger that would slow you down a bit but you still would have lost regardless according to the video LOL

These are the mods on the Saturn.
Redline's mods are intake, full exhaust, 80 lb/hr injectors, 2.7" pulley on 15psi, heat exchanger, and tuned on E85.

Ddint sound like you was even racing.. I have raced one with same mods as one above except no tune for E85 and before i had N20 and i walked away from him pretty fast. Guy was wanting to race for 200 a race. Well i collected $200 very first race and then he would not race no more. Now he wants to get it tuned by Patrick G

He wouldnt say his actual time. He said he ran 12s but i think it was more like low-mid 13s if he was lucky..Have a friend with a Coblat SC stage 3 plus meth injection and he only ran a 13.1.

roll racing and drag racing are 2 different things. the saturn and the cobalt has wheel hop problems plus its fwd so of course you have the advantage on the strip. i was at the track with a couple of friends this friday that had cobalts and redlines and when we where done we had one cobalt with a broken axel and one cobalt with a broken tranny , both due to wheel hop in first gear.

I have a Roto-Fab CAI and the Superchips Cortex tune. It an automatic and I was in second gear and mashed the throttle. I had 2 other guys in the car with me (~340 lbs) and he just had his girl (~110 lbs.). He's just setup for a 40-100 run, I'm sure!

yeah sorry guys, I owned the car like 2 weeks when we did this and I was pussy-footin' it a little. I never realized the Manual Mode in the transmission is actually 'hold-the-gear-until-you-shift' kind of Manual Mode. Next time, maybe with 2 less passengers too!!

Stick it in manual mode and have it in second next time you go from 40. Just be sure to shift it back to normal mode asap or it will hit the limiter before you can blink. These cars dont suck from anywhere that I can tell.

Agreed! If I can't grab 1st (15-25mph) or second (50-??), it's a dog if it stays in 3rd when you mash it.
