Are they the same part numbers?

They both use the LS3 intake manifold.

Same manifold as George said but the TB may be different.
The 2008 and 2009 have the same TB but the GXP and 2009.5 GT have a different TB.

Did that make sense?
2008 and 2009 GT one TB
2009.5 GT and GXP another TB.

What's the TB difference? Is there any advantage to one over the other?

I don't know about the internal difference or why GM decided to make a change. There is a physical difference in where the actuater motor is located. I also know the new unit will not work with the older PCM.

Thanks.
BTW I miss-typed a tad. I meant to say intake manifold. I was wondering if the two could be swapped between a GT and GXP.

The easy answer is yes.

Does your car have a bolt in MAP sensor? If it does, you have an LS3 intake, which is what is on all the GXPs. It might be possible for a very early G8GT to have an L76 intake, which uses the snap in sensor. Yes, I know we all have L76 engines, but most of us have LS3 intakes.

The sensor is the only difference, as far as I can tell.

Where is the sensor located?

Where is the sensor located?

Just behind the TB, to the left of center, on the front of the intake.

Can anyone please confirm this is an LS3 'bolt-in" MAP sensor? ie same as GXP
It is on the stock manifold of 2011 model L77 and I need to swap for a ported LS3.
