Can someone tell me if there is a "do it yourself" car wash that is open 24hrs near the dealership? I'd rather wash it just before the event because the car will see some dirt after a 2hr. drive from Philly:cool2:

Once we get closer to the show you can PM me for directions from either Sunrise Hwy, Souther State Parkway or the LIE. Easiest way to the car wash is take the Southern State there is an exit for bay shore road that puts you a few blocks from the car wash. Then its just a straight drive to Sunrise Hwy and we are on sunrise.

Approx how long will it take to get from the Verrazano Bridge to this Car Meet? I know what MapQuest says but I'd rather hear it from local people familiar with the Belt Parkway, Southern State Parkway, Route 27, etc at that time of the day on a Saturday during the Summer. How bad will traffic be and what am I looking at?? Thx!

you should be ok on a saturday anytime from the morning til early after noon...anytime after i'd say 5pm til about 9 pm, it will be shitty

Well this blows, I'm out. I may go with my vette, but definitely can't take the GXP. Look at what started in front of my house yesterday. The town is doing all this shit, and I think I may have gotten a letter about it, but I didn't pay it much attention. Needless to say the GXP is in the garage.

Damn, I thought about laying down some wood planks, but I don't have the right ones. Most of my entire front is taped off, and much of the sidewalk is torn up as well. This is typical of my luck, and Sunday is my birthday as well. My plans were to do the show in the morning, then to my sisters house for a BBQ. I will survey everything tomorrow and see if there is anyway out, but it doesn't look probable. Other issue, I have large trees in the front of my house.

for all those wondering.....there is a car wash on the way to the show....get off at exit 48 the exit right before the show!!!!

also...fyi...i got to shows every sunday...i got with a semi clean car...i bring my detailing kit and i get there when the show opens...i spend the 3-4 hours i have to wait to be judged cleaning and detailing the car...by the time its judged...its sparkles!!

Nice job Al and the other G8 owners who took home some prizes. 20 G8s in one place - what a great day. My son and I had a great time. Thanks Brian for making this happen! For once, we outnumbered the GTOs. But not.........the 40+ Camaros that were there!!! LOL.

Thanks to all the G8 guys who came from all over the northeast! You really brought the NORTHEAST G8 OWNERS CLUB to this show! I truly appreciate all the help and support. I hope you all had a great time I know I did. It was sick to see 22 G8s in one spot! I hope we can get 40+ for next year! Let's keep this club going.

Thank Kev and Tommy for all the help promoting this show. We really need to start discussing some more local weekly meets and some monthly activities for the club. Everyone is a great group of guys and its so fun to watch our cars grow with mods.
