Now don't go scrolling down to see what I am talking about until I'm done talking! There are those that never knew it's uh hum...splendor. There are those that saw it rise and die in a very short time. It' s not some fancy gadget that can download apps, but it has seen fire on more than one occasion. The government didn't understand it's potential and yelled at it's parents. How much would you pay to have a piece of history???
I would easily pay tens of dollars for this.........

Dood that car screams for a rear engine. I think its pretty pimp. Wagon wheel standers are fun to watch at the track.
How much is it for the car? The owner probably thinks its a rare cherry car... worth lots of thousands of dollars.

Well there may have been some cancer on the front left/right fenders, doors, and rear quarters. But who can pass up that glorious hood!

I have a friend that put a small block V8, turbo 350 trans and a 12 bolt rear end in a Vega and it was an awesome car. He painted it bright yellow and it got a lot of attention, but his was a hatchback not a wagon.

I think the wagon is better than a hatch for drag racing... longer wheelbase but still compact.

My older bother had one in the 80's, I remember that it was fun to drive and fast . Thanks..

How do you know he's gonna drag race it? My friend drove his on the street all the time so maybe that's what he has in mind.

Actually in the mid 70's they had a Cosworth Vega that when the pistons did not melt, was a quick little car for the day. The Cosworth 4 valve head and block was all aluminum and sad to say, there longevity was rather short. The Monza Spyder had a anemic 305 from the factory, I think 120 HP and was not a real Performance car. However in the day during the Heyday of IMSA GT racing, Monza's were monsters on the track. I think a 2 of them were the Dekon Monza and Mike Keyser had one that were FAST

Nope.
Looks to be about similar size to the Holden Torana which was a good selling car in the 70's

Hopefully not the G8! A buddy had a Vega. Went with him to Houston from FT Polk to trade it in. Engine blew midway on the backroads. Kind of like a WWI plane, oil all over the windshield.
