Hello,

I'm strongly thinking about putting a 1900 Magnacharger on my basically stock GT (only mod is cortex). What would I need in terms of support mods (other than a tune) to run a 2.9" pulley on essentially a base magnacharger kit? What kind of whp can I expect?

I really want to stay away from headers/cam right now which is why I’m thinking about run a 2.9”pulley (or other size if recommend).

You would need to make sure you have enough fuel. That will be your biggest enemy.

Ummm…

Well how small of a pulley can I run with the “base” 1900 kit fuel system? I will be buying a Roto Fab intake and BMR trailing arms as well, but as a previous stated I don’t have money or the desire to buy a cam or headers anytime soon.

So in other words I want the most out of a base kit without having to do a whole lot more major moding.

Thanks for the patience! (I’ve been a long time reader and a newbie moder lol)

It seems with all that air going into the engine with the maggie and rotofab, you would need to get headers so the exhaust is less restrictive. someone correct me if I'm wrong please

He is right. You might defeat the purpose of adding more boost by having to pull plenty of timing due to, too much exhaust back pressure.

I ran a 2.9 with headers+Cat-back, intake, Boost-a-Pump and Larger injectors.

your stock lifters in your cam probably wont hold to long running that much boost.

2.9 stock is not going to work. You will need larger injectors than the ones in the kit, bap, and free flowing exhaust. If you do it right you can expect around 535 rwhp.

I have had a 2.9 pulley on mine for 8 months now and I haven't had any problem with my internals. You will need to get headers, custom tune, and at least 60 lbs injectors. People will tell you to get a BAP, but you don't need one. I'm making 495 rwhp without a BAP. If your not wanting to change your injectors I wouldn't go below a 3.2 pulley.

I'm running the 3.2 pulley with long tube headers and a water/meth kit with 60 lbs injectors. Making only 481 HP , but 536 TQ and torque is where the fun is. Tuner says that with the meth kit I won't need a boost a pump for quite a while. I'd say if your gonna boost it that hard, do your self a favor and spray some meth down its throat.
