KY has G8's too!

Couldn't stand not having any posts for our region, so decided to jump on! I haven't seen but a few G8's in/around my area.....which suits me fine. I never was one for blending in. I acquired my Ignition Orange G8 in June after a 6 week search by my local Pontiac Dealer. She was looking for exactly what I asked for and could only find one without a sunroof. They drove the 288 miles to Chicago to bring it in and told me I didn't have to take it since it had no sunroof.......ARE YOU KIDDING? I sure didn't want anyone in our rural county having the first G8! So, the rest is history. I bought that G8 the next day. The next week, I did find out another one was in town.....Panther Black. So, here in North Central Kentucky........in our rural county.......there are 2 G8 GT's. Sure didn't want anyone to think Kentucky had no taste!

Hello from Hazard. Bought my Maverick Silver 09 at the local dealership here. I know of at least three others sold. One White Hot went to Northern Ky and the others are here in town. Glad to have some company!

Hello. I have seen an Orange G8 GT in my neighborhood several times as a fellow Holden/Pontiac owner. The tags are GRRRR8 and had GRRRR8.net stickers on the back door windows. So that's why I joined the forum. From what I can tell the car has the factory 19's, Tinted windows, orange brake calipers and when it passed me it sounded like it had an exhaust. The same house I occasionally see this G8 at I have seen a 2005 or 2006 Black or Navy Blue GTO.

That would be me ;) House in Prospect? The GTO is my Uncle, he's up a lot from Lexington. The GTO has quite a lot done to it probably pushing a little over 400 if I remember right.

Yep a house in Prospect I live on Pine Knoll Circle. Glad to hear from you. Your G8 looks great and sounds awesome too. My car is a Silver GTO with tinted windows, clear sidemarkers, and GTO across the windshield. I'll wave if I see you around.

Thanks for the compliments, I'll keep a look out for you. It's my moms house out there, I'm there more during the summer because of the pool but I'm still there a lot anyway it seems. I live out in Glenmary so me and the Snyder are good friends.

welcome, we have a group of guys from sw ohio who get together on occasion, not sure where you are located. We get out to Tri-Stae and Edgewater for test n tune several times a season ( you don't have to run) and sometimes grab a brew in the winter. Look up G8 GT V8 on this forum and get him your email address if you would be interested in being included in these gatherings.

Just read through your build, nice car. If your free Sat. morning you should come to cars and coffee, I'd love to see it. Its at Captains Quarters, in the NE part of Louisville 9-11. I went last month and there were some pretty nice cars to look at, I would expect more as the weather is getting better.

Just bought a G8 5 days ago Love it so far but it died on me 2day at a gas station Just needed a new battery took it 2 dealer (after AAA jump) & they would not replace or pay 4 a new battery! Will not b going back 2 Oxmoor Toyota ( Louisville) Got an Interstate battery and all is well again where in " north central" KY r u ?
