View Full Version : Which way do TPMS go? Help(pics)

So ive never seen TMPS installed on the bare rim before. I wanna put these on so that the tire place doesn't try and charge me for installing them since its one small screw. I search google images and based on what i saw, this is how i would put them. is this right?

The sensors fit either way, and its not obvious enough to my dumbass, so thanks for the help everyone

I would guess that the flat part would be against the wheel.

i sent TPMSEXPRESS a PM. See what they say. my EZpass has a slick flat side, and thats the side that faces the radars, so thats what i thought maybe the flat side should point up. Although i have no clue how TPMS work.

Good morning!
Your first picture is absolutely correct. The flat, smooth side of the TPM sensor faces down against the wheel wall. If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to contact me. But from what I see in your pic, you figured it out correctly! Best of luck and enjoy your new setup!
