This is an incarnation of the VE Commodore put together for the 30th Anniversary of the Holden Dealer Team. It's called the Blue Meanie in tradition with the original Group A Blue Meanie cars.

Limited edition of 250 VE versions were made from late 2009 onwards.
I got to inspect one on Tuesday and I have to say was not overly impressed on looks alone.
I love what they've done with the seats.
The fit and finish of the exterior add-on scoops and panels was the worst I've seen for a long time.
Totally out of whack with the pricetag.
I may go back and get some pics of my own in the next few days.

Actually at the Dealership where I saw the car, the Principal had his own personal Blue Meanie stolen about a week ago. Police have been chasing it all over town but can't catch it.

What the hell's with the rims? Reminds me of the crap you go and buy from Pep Boys to cover your crappy rims...not digging that at all.

It is a bit much. Plastic everywhere. Maybe it's intended for spoiled New drivers.

Wow, that car wept while it was getting that transformation.

The rims and plastic parts are a tie-in to the original car from 30 years ago.
Revolutionary and iconic then, now just a bucket of fail and AIDS.

I wish I could afford the front bumper cover.

It's like God straddled the zeta platform, squat down and took a giant shit.

This is what they were trying to capture in the recreation, I don't know that they got it right but at least they had a go at trying to honour an Aussie icon.

Not feeling it, needs some different wheels for sure!
