Awesome! I'm totally doing this too. Dropping the Lonnie Twin pump setup thingy right in from the back seat wil be cake!

i am going to have to hurry up and get rid of my bap i guess. i have ran bap's on lots of cars with no issue but it seems the g8 pump doesn't like it.

A couple of suggestions...

Make sure you leave enough meat on there to screw your cover to.Mine was a bit close. And most importantly, use steel for your cover and make sure it's mounted securely. You do not want it opening up or melting in a crash and gas or flames getting into the cabin.

Good luck. I used a air nibbler to cut the circle with the tank installed. no problems, just vacuum up the bits.

i got this done tonight. no issues. used a $29 harbor freight nibbler. i can say my metal shaping skills suck. thanks for the pics, only took me an hour or so and if i have to do it again it will be a 15 minute job.

i was suprized. my low fuel light has been on for a few miles and the gauge shows around 1/32, very low. well... the fuel was nearly to the top. either that side of the tank is much smaller than the drivers side or there is a huge safety margin built into it.

mine took about 3 minutes to make and a little blood. it does not look good but it is sealed up and you cant see it.
