Prochargers comes in 2 versions, the full kit and the "tuner kit" which is without tune and injectors. Their tune isn't going to work for me, I'll need Kirk to do a custom tune due to other mods anyway so that part is pretty much useless. The injectors I'll need, but what size is needed? Where, and for how much, can I source the needed injectors?

The kit lists it coming with 50 lb/hr injectors, but let me check into something a little bigger like 57's. Also let me know if you need a price on the kits ;)

Well I've got a couple seriously good options on the Charger itself...

Any further info on injector options?

What info do you need? Where to get or how big. I think 50s with a stock motor will be fine, 57s with a cam and charger, but I think I would put a better pump in it at the same time. Procharger pumps leave a lot to be desired.

I'm still trying to decide if I need the full kit or the tuner kit. Tuner kit is minus injectors and tune. My assumption is that since I have a few bolt-ons the tune they supply isn't going to cut it so Kirk is going to have to tweak it fairly heavily no matter what. Maybe better to just let him go from jump (obviously I need his thoughts too) rather than flashing my VMS ECM back to stock, getting it tuned by PC and then having him tweak from there.

If I go with that method I'll need to supply my own injectors too so need to know what's out there. Would prefer not to have to use all the adapters if possible.

What pump would you suggest?

We use 62lb injectors on all of our LS3 ProCharger kits.

These are direct fit injectors for the G8. No wiring adapters needed.

Idle quality is excellent due to the great spray pattern at a low pulse-width.

Excellent. I'll be calling you before long to discuss this I think.

Is there a difference in cost between the procharger and the magnacharger?

I am sorry, I followed up with our injector guy, but Never posted (dummy me) Here is the pic on the 65 lb/hr injector we use for all of these (this would be for high boost applications when used in concert with head/cam as we have done over 750 rwhp with the 65)

The stock pump is a good quality piece, We haven't pushed a G8 that hard yet, but the pump comes from the same supplier as the Corvette pump, and only the basket is different. On a vette we have done 650 rwhp for over 20k on the stock pump and a boost-a-pump and it's still got some left :D

If you are going to stay in the 550-600 rwhp the stock pump should be ok, I would get the tuner kit, as they full kit will not compensate for headers, and they make you send your pcm and have it flashed, leaving the tcm unchanged...

The cost is probably similar when installed, the kit itself is cheaper, but it takes about twice the labor to install...

is there a problem running oversized injectors?

They're only necessary if you are putting down that much power that you are maxing out the duty cycle of your stock LS7 injectors.
Upgrading the injectors alone on a stock or near stock engine does nothing.
The tune needs to be modded to compensate fuel tables etc whenever you change to a different size injector.

haddad is recommending 60 lbs injectors for an upgrade on my magnacharger would this be bad for the engine or would it have a negative outcome?
they are recommended the following:
Magnavolt -
Shorty 60# Injectors -
Injector Harness Adapters -
3.0" Pulley -
Kooks 1 7/8" Long Tubes -

Kooks 3" Catted X-Pipe -
or
Kooks 3" Off Road X-Pipe -

This would bump the hp to over 500!!
However I also was interested in the new corsa system that is coming out soon and with the kooks 1 7/8" headers!
I love love any input!

We have used more than 30 sets of 60-70lb injectors in LSX engines.

We tested them for a large name injector company and have a set in a STOCK LS1 Camaro engine with no problems for the last 2 years.

No issues.
