In northwest Indiana I paid $286.05 for the G8. Might be cheaper since we have to get emissions testing done.

I don't understand how they can charge people different amounts in the same state. That's so strange.

Registration with new plates $175.00 In CT. Vanity Plates another 125.00.
Plus you pay property tax every year on it.
Tourist Billboard should read "Welcome to CT by 2011 we will be #1 in taxes in the nation".

Coming close ..my brother lives up in Mass and he said his taxes are far less than they are in CT. Maybe his property taxes are?

Not THAT many moons. I'm only 28! Got the plates for my 99 GTP, we'll say, 4 or 5 years ago?

Like I said, having a DD-214 with a deployment helped in waiving any costs I would have incurred otherwise.

Lots of cars and lots of pollution. Charging through the nose is their attempt at keeping cars off of the road and putting you on the bus.

I thought PA had fucked up shit, but reading here and at Arfcom about other states, I like PA more and more.

Cheap car reg, lowish taxes, Class 3 toys, shall issue CCW, I guess it's not so bad...

First year, was $520 for property tax, which has to be paid first, then $24 for the tag. This year my tax was $280, plus the $24. Tax drop due to depreciation according to them, which is fine for taxes to be low, but not for when you want to sale. Luckily, this will be my first keeper.

Illinois is $5 billion in debt and we only pay $99, so that's no reason to overcharge for license plate renewal.
