Two of the nine qualifying events for the OPTIMAŽ Batteries 2010 Ultimate Street Car Invitational have already taken place and the third event is this weekend's Nevada Open Road Challenge in Ely, Nevada. If you haven't signed up for that event yet, it's probably too late. Our next qualifying event will take place at the Midwest Musclecar Challenge on May 29th & 30th and there is still time to register.

The weekend will start on Saturday the 29th, with the BF Goodrich Hot Lap Challenge at Putnam Park's 1.87-mile road course. That will be immediately followed by Bowler Performance Transmission's 99-mile cruise. The day's activities will be wrapped up with the world-famous Flowmaster All-American Thunder Rib Feast. Events on Sunday will include the RideTech Street Challenge Autocross at the Mid-American Air Center, as well as the Baer Brakes Speed-Stop Challenge.

This event is open to all American-made performance cars and will be televised on Fox Sports Net as part of the Mother's Car Show series. There will be cash awards for the winners of each segment, as well as significant contingency awards and the opportunity to qualify for the OPTIMAŽ Batteries 2010 Ultimate Street Car Invitational.
