So, how does one get GM tire slime out of upholstery? I plugged it in and turned it on without hooking the air hose up to the tire first to test if I needed the key in to get power at the accessory plug. Was that the wrong thing to do or did it malfunction?

OH DAMN!

You have a high suction vac, like a carpet cleaner to suck it while it is still wet?

Do have shop vac... but it's too late to get it while it's wet. I soaked as much up with paper towels as I could, and scrubbed with baby wipes. There's still some white residue.

I would say re wet it with hot water, then hit it with a scrub brush, then vac it.

do you have a can of this maybe? (or are there any late night auto stores open?)

That's why you shouldn't have sex in your car.

Would you believe me if I told you I got out of that seat without a drop on me?

Use that upholstery cleaner Peter posted, that stuff is amazing and removes anything from seats and carpet. I wouldn't have taken the time to snap some pics, I would have been cleaning that mess up in a heartbeat.

Yeah... to answer your question if thats normal or not... the answer is no. I plugged mine in to pump up my sisters tire and got no such result. It should just be the air compressor that comes on, not the tire slime.

He shouldn't have pulled out the tire sealant nozzle. If he wanted to use just the air nozzle he should have only pulled that one out.

To use the air compressor to inflate
a tire with air only and not sealant:
1. Lift the lever and pull the air-only
hose (E) from the bottom of
the kit.
2. Remove the tire valve stem cap
from the flat tire by turning it
counterclockwise.
3. Push the air-only hose (E) onto
the tire valve stem and push
the lever down to secure in place.
4. Plug the air compressor
accessory plug (A) into an
accessory power outlet in the
vehicle. See Accessory Power
Outlet(s) on page 4-9 for
more information.

I have to say the Turtle Wax Power out works really good. Took Gear grease out of my carpet.

What download speed were you using? Wireless hotspots can creep up suddenly. Hope everything comes out OK.

Huh?

He shouldn't have pulled out the tire sealant nozzle. If he wanted to use just the air nozzle he should have only pulled that one out.

I didn't touch either hose before I turned it on. They were both tucked neatly into their slots/whatnot. I swear I've turned it on like that before... but maybe not. If I had pulled the air hose out and left the lever up, would this have happened?

Maybe you got a defective compressor, you better return it for a new one.

I cleaned up some useless posts. Spam the useless post thread, not someones thread posted for help.

You should of 1st disconected the comp hose from the sealent can. Same happened to me. The comp switch was on when i pluged it in... I cleaned it with a cleaner similar to that one above.

Soak it with the cleaner then use a carpet brush to work it. That thing dries fast and becomes rubbery... Is that a grand am ? It happened to me in my girls grand am, on the pass seat...lol

Yep, that's the wife's Grand Am. lol

It's well dried now, is a slight stain, and has a bit of tack to it. I was going to get some stuff on the way home from work today, but I was rushed. Hopefully I can tomorrow.

Alright, I used Turtle Wax Upholstery cleaner on it. It worked pretty well. I might do the floor mat again, but you can't tell anything was on the seat, and was a breeze to do. It was so easy, I did the driver seat since the woman managed to spill chocolate milk on it the next day, the other front floor mat, the floor mats and carpet to my Bonneville, and the G8's floor mats!

Sorry this happened to you. All I can say is that now you have it cleaned up.

If it would have happened to me I would have cussed so bad it would have made a truck driver embarrassed.

I want to swear like made just looking at that mess. I just kind of pisses me just looking at seeing myself doing something like that.

Good thing I sold my compressor like that to a member on this board.

I don't see why he turned on the compressor inside the car, the tires are on the outside. :hmm:

Yeah... it was mindless.

This is one of those miracle products. Turtle Wax isn't exactly the mark of quality, and a bottle of $3.99 carpet cleaner doesn't instill confidence but this stuff really does an amazing job.

try goo gone. but be careful on the trim. test it first before you wipe. tire slime is like super glue. the longer it sits the harder and more brittle it gets.
