Paul, will the VE taillights work for the G8

Ive tried to find a V6 to trade taillights with, but have not been able to. I cannot find any in the US for less than 200 each. I found the Commodove VE tail lights look exactly the same as the G8 v6.

Right now, i have a left and right in my shopping cart on holmart.com/au for AU$ 190 shipped, which is about 177 US $. They are $50 each, but with 90 shipping. ahhhh.

No I don't know.
It's going to take someone like yourself to find out 100% either way.
They sure look like they will fit, but it's often a subtle difference somewhere that prevents a great plan from working.

AU tails have no red reflectors. and I believe the LED in the side is not present in them aswell, but otherwise I believe they fit/work

I've been told u can get the v6 tails from pace for 136.00 each. I have not called them myself. That's what I'm gonna do if I can't find anybody to trade in the next month.

I have a set of V6 Tails that I am not using. Planning to post it on the for sale section soon with the SLP axle backs.

Passenger side has a small chip on the corner but not noticeable.

I suppose we need to clear some things up for others who may stumble this direction someday.

VE Commodore covers a whole range of different models.
From Holden: Omega, Berlina, SV6, SS, SS-V, Calais, Calais V, Sportswagon, Ute, (WM Caprice & WM Statesman).
From HSV: Maloo, Clubsport, GTS, Senator, Grange, Tourer, GXP, W427

Out of all those models the only tail lights with the same basic shape as the Pontiac G8 range are Omega, SV6, SS & SS-V.

Those AU taillights do fit, but the harness with the lights is not compatible. The female connector which plugs into the car's wiring will not fit (it's too small). You can't use the G8's harness as the brake light socket won't secure to the taillight housing. If you swap the connector and use the AU harness with the G8's connector, it will work.

^yup, did the SV6 tail swap a couple months ago!
