Got rear ended today need parts!

I was going to the bank today at 5;30 in the normal stop and go traffic the guy in front of me slams on his brakes and I stop with about 1.5 cars inbetween us and was stopped for a good 10sec then I just so happen to look in my mirror and about that time I haer screeching tires...The jerkoff behind me didnt stop and rear ended me messed up my rear bumper, rear valence, and passenger side exhaust tip. The guy got out of his car looked at his bumper which had my white paint all over it and says ahh its nothing just a bent liscence plate and proceeds to get back into his car. I tell the guy I don't think so buddy thats a 40k car and its gonna get fixed. So we traded info and when done I go on about my business and go to the bank then I went and called his ins. company and have an appointment thusday to go get a estimate....I'm thinking I may go ahead and get my tips and gxp diffuser since I can get these parts cheaper then what they are going to have to replace.


Anyway I need to get prices and part numbers on a rear GT Diffuser and stock gt mufflers and a rear bumper. Can anyone help So I can see if the ins comapny is gonna try and bend me over without vasaline.

Also can anyone give me a part number and price on the GXP diffuser

Yeah a little exageration there but you get my point I was frusterated and it was a 34k sticker new and not to mention all the TLC i have in it come to think about it I should have said 50k lol

You are more kind than me. BTW the MSRP on the G8 V6 loaded was 32k. So I guess the GXP would have been close to 40k. Too bad you had not rebadge the car, why yes officer, "Its an exotic Holden, built in OZ and retails for 75,000.

What a tool, take him for all you can! I'm guessing the idiot had a car he doesn't care about, because it's obvious he didn't care about yours. Maybe you can get some axleback mufflers too, the stockers aren't cheap.

this. I feel for you James, but count your blessings that the guy had insurance, and was willing to share the info. You can come out of this better off but will require a friendly estimator.

Well I have flowmaster axle backs but the ins adjuster said they would have to cut a check for the stockers so I'm thinking I will be able to get a nice axleback.

I did not get the cops involved since there is so little damage you have to know what to look for to see the damage besides the big ass scratches on the bumper. I had 2 witness in my car so I'm not worried about anything and since i didn't slam on my brakes and was stopped for a good 10 sec I would say I am very safe from any one saying its my fault that and I didn't hit the car in front of me even when I was pushed forward

You are far nicer than I would have been. I have had bad experience in the past with not calling the police after an accident with the person trying to deny it happened and then her insurance trying to deny the claim once she finally admitted to it to them.
